Jennifer Inaba is a PhD candidate in Sustainability Education at Prescott College in Arizona, USA. Her research interests surround the environmental and social impact of fashion consumerism with a focus on consumer education and consumption habits. Jennifer’s dissertation work centers on human connection to nature and clothing, and exploring the links between ecological identity and consumer identity. She was a featured TEDx speaker in 2022, sharing her talk on how the practice of mindfulness can help break the vicious cycle of overconsumption – all while providing the additional value of reconnecting with nature. Jennifer has worked professionally in the communications field for nearly 20 years, with a focus on conservation and environmental advocacy.
