Her research has focused on sustainability education. Her current work explores spirituality and spiritual practices as catalysts for mindful consumption.

Jennifer Whitty at Post Growth (?) Fashion Futures webinar

Jennifer Whitty is a Senior Lecturer of Design at Auckland University of Technology. She identifies as Muintir na hÉireann, the native people of Ireland. Her work as an educator, designer, and researcher focuses on driving systemic change in global fashion through social and environmental justice. She centres decolonial perspectives from the pluriverse, fostering interbeing and relational approaches to making and wearing. Jennifer has contributed her expertise in design education and practice across the globe, working in key roles with leading design programs and companies in the USA, Europe, Asia, and Australasia. Her global clients include Conde Nast, Future Learn, and the United Nations.
